Ashiatsu Massage
Ashiatsu massage is a barefoot massage technique that allows the therapist to use a broad, deep pressure, and focus on myofascial release. With the help of overhead parallel bars, the therapist is able to use gravity and their body weight to apply deep therapeutic strokes to the muscles. This technique is great to help relieve stubborn muscles that need more pressure, relieve tension areas new and old, help athletes with rest and recovery, or for anyone who enjoys a deep tissue massage. In Ashiatsu we get to sink deeper into the muscles, with that being said this modality takes a slow and controlled approach. It is recommended if you have an area of concern and still want a full-body massage that you book a 90-minute session.
Please let us know:
- If you’ve had any surgeries within the last 6 weeks.
- If you’ve had any type of bone fracture/break within 6 months.
- If you’ve had any implants within the last 9 months.
- If you have had any hardware installed and where.
We suggest you reschedule if:
- If you DO NOT like deep tissue.
- If you are under 18 years old, we do not work on minors. We can get you booked with a hands-on LMT.
- We ask that Ashi clients weigh at least 130 pounds. (This work is meant for clients who have more body mass than the therapist, otherwise your therapist will be holding a pull up the entire session.)
